Letter from Prince Sam

Prince Sam writes a letter to the students of Sacred Hearts School on the eve of the launch of a pilot program whereby the students will adopt bees in Kenya. The students will “Bee the Change” with bee banks situated throughout the school. It costs the students one penny to adopt one bee with the goal of 52,000 bees (the average number of bees per hive). Sam will be working with daughter Stephanie’s school in Kenya to build the hive with the money raised by the students of Sacred Hearts. A facebook page ‘Bee The Change’ has been started so that Sam and the students from both schools can communicate with one another half way around the world.

Breakfast with Santa Video

It all began with Santa but quickly it became all about ‘The Ride’. Santa’s elf, complete with tights, Mary Anna Waldrop ran rides in Santa’s Sleigh on the side while Santa was inside talking to the kids. When I put these photos together with the music it all added up to Oh What Fun! you’ll see what i mean . . .

Our Blessed Animals

This past week was St. Francis week with a blessing for the animals by Kahuna Paul Tangonan on Saturday at United Methodest Church and then today at Sacred Hearts School as the children brought their pets and had them blessed by Father Gary. An extra special treat was given by Kahuna Paul when he composed and performed his son “I Love You So” to honor those pets who have passed on to the next dimension.
