Please join us on Saturday, February 2, 2013 for a Formal Benefit Concert celebrating Sacred Hearts School 150th Anniversary of education in Lahaina. The concert will feature Dr. Peter Francis Gach, a longtime friend of our Sacred Hearts School principal Susan Hendricks. Mary Anne Fitch and Nam Le Viet are hosting this concert at their Kaanapali Golf Estates home beginning at 5:00 pm. The suggested Benefit Donation is $150.00 per person. All proceeds go to Sacred Hearts School Tuition Assistance Fund. Seating is limited.

Rehearsal for Benefit Concert Celebrating Sacred Hearts School’s 150th Anniversary
On Friday, February 1, 2013 at 7:00p.m. there will be a rehearsal for the Benefit Concert at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church 561 Front Street, Lahaina, HI. Goodwill donations will be accepted to support the SHS Tuition Assistance Fund. All are welcome to attend.
Itʼs that time of the year again. The AUGUSTINE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION Tuition Scholarship Program Applications for the upcoming 2013-14 school year have arrived. If you are in need of financial assistance, please stop by the school office and pick up an application. You may also find a copy of the Application on our school website www.sacredheartsschool.net or www.augustinefoundation.org. There is a $17.00 processing fee that is paid when you turn in your application. You do not have to be Catholic to apply for this scholarship. The deadline to turn in completed applications is March 8, 2013. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The MARIA LANAKILA PARISH SCHOLARSHIPS are also available in the school office. You must be Catholic and a registered member of the parish to qualify for this scholarship. If you are applying for the Augustine Educational Foundation Scholarship you may also fill out this scholarship application.
Crossing duty parents and teachers are reporting unsafe behavior in the parking lot. Parents please be aware of children in the parking lot. Yesterday a child was almost hit by a SUV that was backing up. Please follow these simple rules for the safety of our children:
1) Children are not allowed to cross over to the parking lot and to wait for their parents; they are to stay on the grass area in front of the Church.
2) Parents must pull in a parking stall. DO NOT PARK IN TRAFFIC LANES.
3) OBEY THE TEACHERS AND THE CROSSING GUARD.
4) BE ON TIME. Mon. Tues. Thur. & Fri. dismissal is at 2:15pm; on Wed. dismissal is at 1:15pm.
GOOD NEWS! After School Program’s NEW BILLING STRUCTURE
Beginning January 7th - $5 an hour or $50 a week!
If you are not registered for the After School Program, please come to the office and Ms. Jan can assist you with the paperwork you will need in order to attend the ASP. Darlene Bagusta, our After School Program Director, can also help you with the paperwork.
We are offering two choices:
1) An hourly rate of $5 for those looking for after school care part-time, anything less than 5 days a week.
2) A FULL-TIME (5-days a week) discounted weekly rate of $50 per week. Anything less than 5 days a week will be charged the hourly rate of $5.00 per hour.
IMPORTANT: Regarding the hourly rate, to avoid being charged the full weekly fee, please be sure to sign your child IN and OUT each time. Hours are Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. 2:15PM to 5PM and Wed. 1:15PM to 5PM
The children work on their homework or play quietly for an hour after school in the Damien Room, then have supervised playtime outside where you would most likely pick them up.
