Sacred Hearts School Live Auction & Dinner at the Historic Pioneer Inn

SAVE THE DATE – The SHS Live Auction, will be held at the Pioneer Inn on Saturday, April 13th.  This year’s event will feature live music by Barefoot Minded and world class catering by Sansei, Roy’s, Maui Brewing Co., Hyatt, Hula Grill, Captain Jacks and the Pioneer Inn.  Come and bid on extraordinary packages like dinner for two at Mama’s Fish House with limousine service, a weekend at the Marriott Wailea and $400 in gift certificates for the Grand Wailea’s Amasia Restaurant.  We’ll have a getaway to Lanai with ferry tickets and hotel stay and so much more!  Its never too late to donate an item, so if you missed your chance with the silent auction at the Bazaar and have an item you would like to donate, please contact Joanna Stockham at 280-6049 or jstockham@hawaii.rr.com.

Sacred Hearts School Bazaar 2013

It is hard to believe that it is time for our Annual Sacred Hearts School Bazaar ……
Last Saturday the booths went up and a lot is going on this week, bakers busy baking, game booths being stocked with prizes, entertainers practicing and none of this would happen without all of you. From the bottom of our HEARTS we would like to thank all of our volunteers, it is people like you that reach out to others and, in so doing, accomplish extraordinary things, like the Bazaar. You are truly a treasure!

Our 41st Annual Bazaar is coming up this weekend!

Friday, March 1 & Saturday, March 2
from 4pm – 10pm

District History Day Competition Results

AND…THE RESULTS ARE IN FOR THE DISTRICT HISTORY DAY COMPETITION  

The 2013 District History Day was held at Baldwin High School this past Saturday, February 16th and we could not be more proud of Mrs. Patty Wurst, Sacred Hearts School’s, 2-time award winning “HISTORY TEACHER OF THE YEAR” and her 21, 6th, 7th & 8th grade students that participated.  They represented more than 50% of the entries in their division.  Congratulations to all of them for their hard work and dedication.  The State Finals are being held at Windward Community College in Honolulu on Saturday, April 20, 2013
from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  Congratulations to these students who are moving on to the State Finals:

6th Graders – Stephanie Han, Dakota Delos Reyes, Isabella Lallo & Jolie Jenkins

7th Graders – Summer Macedo, Nicole Slusser, Erin Tsue, Krizhna Bayudan, James Caputo & Carter Stockham

8th Grader –   Kamryn Perry

BUY A BRICK –  SUPPORT SACRED HEARTS SCHOOL

Sacred Hearts School is celebrating our 150-year Anniversary and we invite you to commemorate this special year with an engraved brick. The bricks will line both sides of the center path through the school courtyard, from the top of the stairs to the Jesus statue. Your inscribed brick can celebrate a joyful occasion (graduation, birthday) or honor a loved one, recognize military service, or express your family or company’s support of our school. Our first order will be placed in early March right after the Bazaar, with the first installment happening just before May Day. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime offer to leave your name and legacy at the heart of our school! OPEN HOUSE INVITATION & $500 REFERRAL PROGRAM
This week you will find a nice card stock invitation to our school’s open house in your weekly folder.  We are hoping you will invite someone to come and preview our school!Our goal is to enroll 30 new students next year, and we need your help.  If you invite a new family and they end up enrolling at Sacred Hearts School for fall 2013, you will get a $500 discount applied to your 2013-2014 tuition. Got two different families you want to refer?  How about $1,000 off next year’s tuition?  That’s right, the potential is unlimited.

So please, tell your friends and neighbors how much you love Sacred Hearts School and invite them to come and see for themselves how amazing our school is.  All teachers, from ELC-8th grade will be on hand on Wednesday, February 6 from 5pm – 7pm.

This night is not just about new students.  We want our existing families to come and see what their kids are up to in class, and to explore the next grade, meet the teacher, and find out what kind of work they will be doing this time next year!  So give the invitation to your friend, and turn the referral “bucks” into Jan in the school office.  She will follow up with your friends and get them all the information they need to register and join our school ‘ohana.
